- We are now the largest and fastest growing entrepreneurship program in the nation. In 2007, our program was ranked second in the top 25 undergraduate entrepreneurship programs in U.S. by the Entrepreneur Magazine and the Princeton Review.
- The visionary leader and Founding Director of WCE, William Sherrill, won the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year Award in 1994 for his advancements in education.
- For the past 15 years, the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (WCE) has been preparing students to assume leadership roles in the business world, teaching them how to run their own business, from the inception of an idea through its implementation. Our entrepreneurship program teaches students “how” to become an entrepreneur - not “about” entrepreneurship.
- We utilize an innovative method employed by Fortune 500 CEOs to train successors to teach business skills, foster leadership talent and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.
- The Intrapreneurship Certificate Program is our latest initiative to teach U of H students entrepreneurship, the business process and value creation. The two-course program focuses on bringing an executive perspective to all employees. It further demonstrates how to inject innovative and thoughtful insight in all job functions. This is the only Certificate of its kind in the nation.
- Our team of outstanding WCE students prepares a business plan and takes it on the road to compete for seed money and awards. Since 2003, we have finished in the top three at 12 major competitions in North America.
