Lucia Miree
graduated from Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in foreign
languages (Spanish and French), and completed her masters degree in
communication research and her doctoral degree in organizational behavior at Florida State University. After teaching at a university for five
years, Dr. Miree returned to complete a Masters of
Public Health at Boston
University, where she
specialized in health care management.
She has been a college
professor for over twenty years has lived and worked overseas for the past
ten years, including time in Israel
and the last six years in Bulgaria. She is currently a Professor of Business at
the American University
in Bulgaria. She teaches Organizational Behavior, Human
Resources Management, and a number of elective seminars in compensation and
benefits, training, and performance management.
Her main research interest is
occupational stress and she developed and has been refining a cost model for
application to individual business environments. Newer research interests include the
development of cultural intelligence and the impact of privacy regulations on
business functions. Miree maintains an active international consulting
practice, providing
training and development services to private companies, government units, and
not-for-profit organizations.
