DENMARK AMBASSADOR: Liza Castro Christiansen

Dr. Liza Castro Christiansen is a Visiting Academic Fellow at the Henley Business
School, University
of Reading in the UK. She received her Executive MBA and DBA at Henley Management
College in the UK in 1999 and 2006,
respectively. Liza has been Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Aarhus Business
College in Denmark since 2001. As Visiting Faculty for Henley,
she supervises Doctoral associates researching within the areas of
Leadership, Change and Learning and MBA candidates writing their
dissertations in Marketing. Liza
orginally comes from the Philippines
where she obtained her double Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration and International Studies.
Liza’s current research interests are in the alignment of HR
strategy and business strategy and its relationship to organisational
performance, HR competencies and leadership and change.
Liza has presented her work at the British Academy
of Management Conference and she received the Best Paper Award, HR Track at
the BAM in September 2009. She also
serves as a reviewer and chair for track sessions at the BAM. She has published in the Journal of General
Management in the UK
and in the Henley Working Paper Series.
Liza guests as a contributor and speaker in the HR Managers Association
of Denkmark’s practitioner journal “HR Manager” and
seminars as well as in the HR Education of the Leadership
Academy in Aarhus. Prior to joining academia in 2001, Liza
worked as marketing manager in the education, hotel and IT sectors in Denmark
for 14 years. Liza has experience in organisational consultancy and in the
management of marketing and sales, key accounts, projects and HR.
