FINLAND AMBASSADOR: Ingmar Bjorkman (ibjorkma@hanken.fi)
Ingmar Björkman is a professor of management and organization at
the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland.
He has held visiting positions at Hong Kong
University, ESSEC,
INSEAD, and SCANCOR (Stanford University).
Professor Björkman’s research interests focus on
international human resource management, knowledge creation and transfer in
multinational corporations, and integration of international mergers &
acquisitions. Much of his work has been on Western companies’ operations
in the People’s Republic of China
but he has also published several articles on management issues in Russia.
His latest book is Handbook of Research in International Resource
Management (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2006), co-edited with Günter Stahl (INSEAD/Vienna School of Economics). Paul Evans (INSEAD), Vlado Pucik (IMD) and Ingmar Björkman will publish the Global Challenge: International Human Resource Management
(McGraw-Hill) in 2009. He is a regular contributor to international academic
journals and works regularly with multinational corporations.
