IRELAND AMBASSADOR: Kathy Monks

Kathy Monks is
Professor of Human Resource Management at DCU Business School
and Director of the Learning, Innovation and Knowledge (LInK)
Research Centre at DCU. Kathy holds an
undergraduate degree from UCD and a research
Masters and doctorate from TCD. She is a Fellow of
the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Her research interests
include human resource management systems and management learning and
development. She has published in journals such as Human Resource Management,
Human Resource Management Journal, International Journal of Human Resource
Management, Journal of Management Education, Management
Learning.
Kathy has served as
both Chair and Secretary of the Irish
Academy of Management
as well as on the Council of the National Centre for Partnership and
Performance. She is currently the Principal Investigator on a joint IRCHSS/ESRC funded project on knowledge intensive firms
and a PRTLI IV funded project on Knowledge sharing
and transfer in university research centres that
forms part of the Irish Social Sciences Platform (ISSP).
