Silvia Bagdadli,
PhD in Management, is Associate Professor of
Organization and Human Resource Management at Bocconi University
(Milan, Italy) and senior professor of
HRM at SDA Bocconi, the
Business School of Bocconi University.
She is the Director of EMSHRM (Executive Master in Strategic Human Resource
Management). It is a newly launched international program for executives SDA Bocconi is running in
partnership with Cornell University Faculty.
She is a member of the Research
Committee of the Management Department at Bocconi University. She is a member of the AOM (HR and Career Division) and of Egos network (Convenor of the Career track - Egos Bergen 2006). She is
reviewer for the AOM Conference and for several
International and national reviews.
Her research and teaching are
in the areas of HRM and career management where she is interested in the
intersection of the individual and the organizational perspective and in
understanding the relation between HRM, career management, and organizational
performance.
Her current research projects
are:
- A contextual analysis of career determinants in
Italian Academia;
- A comparative research on the procedural fairness
of selection methods (USA
and Italy);
- An analysis of the link among High Performing Work
Systems, organizational climate (being a Great Place to Work) and organizational performance;
- A test of
the HR Architecture in service organizations;
- A theoretical review of personnel segmentation;
- An analysis of role of leading organizations in
institutional change: the case of Bocconi University.
