Dr. Muhsen
A. Makhamreh is the Dean of the Jordan Applied
University College of Hospitality and Tourism in Jordan. In addition to his
academic involvement, Dr. Makhamreh is Advisor to
the Minister of Higher Education and Editor- in-Chief of the Jordanian
Journal of Business Administration.
Between 1988 and 2005, Dr. Makhamreh was a guest professor and lecturer at seven
universities around the world, including Oklahoma State
University, where he
served as a Fulbright professor from 1989-1990. Also during this time, Dr. Makhamreh conducted conferences, training, consulting and
teaching seminars in more than sixteen countries. He was also the Dean of the
Business College at The University of Jordan.
Dr. Makhamreh
is the author of "Modern Management Concepts" as well as
"Manpower Planning and Labor Relations". He has published works in
both English and Arabic, including three books and numerous academic and
business journal articles.
Dr. Makhamreh
received his PhD in Business Administration from Ohio
State University
in 1981 and holds an MBA from the American
University of Beirut,
Lebanon.
He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at Jordan
Applied University
and serves on the Advisory Board at the American Hospitality
Academy. He has
received several awards including the Fulbright Research Scholarship, a USAID Management Development Grant and the University of Jordan Distinguished Research Award in
2001.
Dr. Makhamreh
currently resides in Amman,
Jordan with
his wife and their three children.
