NETHERLANDS AMBASSADOR: Deanne Den Hartog (D.N.denHartog@uva.nl)

 

Deanne N. Den Hartog is Full Professor at the Department of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior of the Amsterdam Business School at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She was previously full professor of Organizational Psychology at the Faculty of Economics of Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands and worked as post-doc and assistant professor at the Free University Amsterdam after receiving her PhD there.


Deanne's current research interests include leadership, culture, human resource management, employees' proactive behaviour, and organizational trust. She has (co-) authored many articles in these areas published in high quality outlets such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management Journal, the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Applied Psychology: An International Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology. She serves as editorial board member for six journals.

 

Deanne is co-country investigator for the Netherlands in the 62-nation GLOBE research project focused on leadership across cultures. She was elected member of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities in 2002; of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) in 2006, and the board of the Dutch HRM network in 2007.
