Dr Audrey Chia is Associate Professor of Management and Organisation at the NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. She received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. Her first degree was in Philosophy and English, from the National University of Singapore.

Her research and teaching interests are multi-disciplinary. She is particularly interested in Leadership and Change Management, especially stakeholder management and leading in times of crisis. She also enjoys learning international aspects of Management. Her latest work is a chapter in the Handbook of Cultural Intelligence (ME Sharpe, 2008), on the antecedents and consequences of cultural intelligence among business travellers. She teaches in the senior executive UCLA-NUS MBA and the regular NUS MBA programmes. She is also a Steering Committee member of the Msc. (Environmental Management), programme at NUS.  Her undergraduate courses include Change Management, Social and Ethical challenges in Management and Organizational Power and Culture. She has published in journals as diverse as the Academy of Management Executive, Science Communication, Jurimetrics: a journal of Law, Science and Technology and the Journal of Business Ethics. She has also co-authored two books, The Three Paradoxes: Working Women in Singapore and Culture and Management: A casebook. Her research has been presented at international conferences on Management, Applied Psychology and Socio-Economics.

Audrey has done consultancy work and training for companies across Asia, the US and Europe, including Bridgestone, Catalyst (http://www.catalyst.org/), Elf Aquitane (now Total), Exel (now DHL-Exel), Maersk, McDonald’s, Panasonic, Samsung, Schenker-Bax Global, Telenor, Royal Brunei Airlines, and UBS. She is also the Director of NUS’s executive programme in Leadership. She has received three University awards, two Faculty awards and numerous commendations for excellence in teaching.
