TAIWAN AMBASSADOR: Aichia Chuang  (achuang@management.ntu.edu.tw)

 

Aichia Chuang is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management in the Department of Business Administration at the National Taiwan University in Taiwan. Prior to joining the National Taiwan University, she was on the faclulty at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. She earned her doctorate in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota and her B.A. in Sociology from the National Taiwan University.

 

Dr. Chuang’s research interests include person-environment fit, service climate and service performance, multilevel theory and methods, and diversity. Her research has been conducted in several countries such as the US, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Korea, and she has been invited to join a couple of large-scaled multinational projects.

 

Professor Chuang has won the Herbie Award of Teaching Excellence from the Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies at the University of Minnesota and a few research awards including the 2007 Ta-You Wu Memorial Research Award from the National Science Council in Taiwan, the 2005 Weizhao Chen Management Research Scholar Award from the College of Management at the National Taiwan University, and the 2006 Academy of Management's Dorothy Harlow Distinguished Paper Award.

 

Her research has appeared in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes. She serves as the Chair of the Best Student Conference Paper for the HR Division of the Academy of Management for 2008 and 2009 and as an editorial board member of Taiwanese journals such as the Management Review, NTU Management Review, Journal of Management & Systems, and Journal of Human Resource Management.
