Why Bauer? Why Houston? I was looking for an MS program focused on Digital Marketing. The choice of electives, customized curriculum, world class faculty and hands-on learning experience encouraged me to apply. In addition to networking opportunities through multiple events, the Google Online Marketing Challenge at Bauer is a unique opportunity to get experiential learning and interact with the industry experts. Houston, being the most ethnically diverse city in the United States and home to multiple Fortune 500 companies was my first choice. The low cost of living makes it even better!

Why Bauer? Why Houston? Job opportunities initially brought my wife and I to Houston. We absolutely love the city of Houston and all that it has to offer. Houston is a hub for rich culture and diversity, is abundant with a wide span of career opportunities, and truly has something for everybody, from shops, to museums, to boardwalks by the bay/sea. I applied to the Bauer College of Business because of the exemplary reputation of the school, the faculty, and the Supply Chain Management program. In addition, I greatly admired the University's focus on diversity among its student population and its program offerings and its, "student-centric," attitude that truly makes every student from any walk of life feel accepted and at home. Through my academic career at the University of Houston, thus far, I have learned a great wealth of extremely valuable information and I have acquired and mastered new highly useful skills that are being sought after by all of today's largest companies and top employers. I can truly say that applying to, (and being accepted into), the MS Supply Chain Management program at the University of Houston is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Why Bauer? Why Houston? Bauer enabled me to design my curriculum to suit my career aspirations. I wanted to study Quantitative Finance and here, I got the flexibility to add advanced PhD level courses in econometrics, asset pricing and investment analysis in my coursework. In my second year, I will be a stock analyst in the Cougar Investment Fund which is a student-run fund of the Bauer College of Business, providing me a practical environment to apply the principles of investment theory. And, Bauer is a very exciting place, literally thriving with opportunities to network and get guidance from the professors and alumni.

Why Bauer? Why Houston? The MS Finance program at Bauer is very customizable. The program has a vast number of course offerings, and many options to follow particular fields in finance (i.e., Energy Finance, Corporate Finance, Investments). This allowed me to select courses that best fit my interest and career path. Although Houston has already established itself as a large city, it continues to develop substantially year over year. This has led to a large growth in career opportunities in a variety of industries, and is one of the main reasons I decided to continue my education and career in Houston.
