Do I need any previous leadership experience to participate?
Everyone can be a leader! Leadership development is a continuous process and we encourage both those with and those without leadership experience to apply.
Do I receive any academic credit or an academic certificate for participating in TBLCP?
No, TLCP is a 100% co-curricular program. Although you do receive an official certificate and you can include it on your resume, you do not receive any academic credit for the program.

Application Questions:
What are the requirements to be considered for a spot in TBLCP?
To be considered you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and you must have completed at least one year of college. This just means one year on a college campus – whether that was at a four year university or a community college. Dual Credit and Early College High School do not count.
What is the application and selection process for TBLCP?
All students are required to submit the TBLCP application here (hyperlink to app). The application consists of several essay questions. These questions are scored based on a rubric and are taken into consideration with your class year and GPA to determine if you will be selected for the program.
When is the application deadline?
Applications must be submitted by Sunday, September 6 at midnight for the 2020-2021.
When will I find out if I was selected for TBLCP?
All applicants will be notified by Friday, September 11 whether or not they have been selected.
Online and Hybrid Program Questions:
Will I be getting the same experience as past participants with this program being online?
That’s a complex question. The leaders of TBLCP have worked hard to create a curriculum that will be robust and beneficial. While some parts will look different, we’ve created new components to the curriculum that will make it effective as an online program. Just like always, TBLCP is a program where you get out of it what you put into it – and so if you put your whole self into it, you will grow immensely.
How will I participate in online workshops?
All online workshops will be hosted via Zoom by the Program Manager. A laptop or computer is not required – all you need is a smart phone you can use to download the Zoom app. We will do our best to work with students who do not have access to internet.
What safety measures will be taken for the planned in-person workshops in spring of 2021?
All spring 2021 workshops will be limited to no more than 25 people per workshop to promote social distancing. All students will be required to wear masks and we will provide them if you do not have one. We will also clean and sanitize the room before each workshop.
When will TBLCP leaders decide how the spring semester will function?
The Program Manager and Graduate Assistant for the program will take careful consideration regarding the spring 2021 semester and will announce a plan by no later than late November 2020.
Will I be required to attend the in person workshops in spring 2021?
No, you will not be required to come in person. We will have accommodations for students who are immunocompromised or unsure about coming to in person workshops.
