The SURE™ Program

Research and Applications in Microfinance

In Houston and Surrounding Areas

The Bauer SURE Program runs twelve week programs teaching financial literacy and entrepreneurship to those in Houston who want to start or grow a small business. The Program runs twice per year concurrent with the Spring and Fall academic semesters. The Program is offered to all local entrepreneurs with an emphasis on serving women, those with a minority racioethnic background and low- to moderate- income earners. At the end of the Program we connect the graduates with local Microfinance and other financial institutions so that they can launch or grow their small business. After the 12 week program, entrepreneurs then participate in the Incubator program that is conducted by the Microfinance Initiative, the Bauer graduate student organization.
