Dr. Elizabeth Anderson-Fletcher is Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management in the Department of Decision and Information Sciences in the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She also serves in the Hobby Center for Public Policy in the Hobby School of Public Affairs through a joint faculty appointment.
She has taught courses in production and operations management, supply chain management, service operations management, and health care operations at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Executive MBA and doctoral. Recently, her research agenda has shifted to concentrate more on the human capital side of supply chain, with a specific focus on emergency management and public health logistics. Current projects include analyzing infectious-disease outbreaks such as Ebola and Zika through a supply chain lens; studying physiological and psychological stress in firefighters and the resulting impact on line of duty deaths and other adverse outcomes such as PTSD, substance abuse, and suicide; and developing a behavioral health and wellness initiative to improve firefighter safety and quality of life.
Dr. Fletcher serves as a firefighter with Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Department in Northwest Harris County, Texas.
