Michael Neel

Bio

Michael Neel receieved his PhD from Texas A&M University's Mays Business School and has been an assistant professor of Accounting at the C. T. Bauer College of Business since 2011. In recognition of his teaching at Bauer he received the 2013 Leroy and Lucille Melcher Faculty Excellence Award and the 2018 Department of Accountancy and Taxation Outstanding Teaching Award. Neel is an active member of the American Accounting Association (AAA), having presented his research and serving as a reviewer and discussant for several AAA meetings. He is also an Ad-hoc referee for several academic journals including Contemporary Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies and Accounting Horizons.
