Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony

Date: Thursday August 12, 2021
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Fertitta Center

Congratulations Bauer Graduates. The C. T. Bauer College of Business will recognize all Class of 2020 bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degree candidates.

The University is planning safe and socially distanced, in-person commencement ceremonies. The ceremony will be live-streamed for those who are unable to join in-person.

Graduate Check-In

Graduates can park in the stadium garage and proceed to the ground floor. Walk Cards will be distributed to the graduates during check-in. Review spelling for name announcement and email address for photo notification. Graduates should arrive at 12:30 p.m. for check-in at the Fertitta Center, Legends Club entrance off Holman Street.

Cap and Gown

Academic Regalia (cap and gown) will be required to participate in the upcoming ceremonies. Please arrive dressed in your regalia. For all questions regarding regalia, please contact the UH Bookstore at campusstore@uh.edu or call 713-741-7095.

Ticket Information

All guests (regardless of age) will require a ticket to enter the venue, this includes infants and children. Graduates will not need a ticket. Tickets will be general admission and seating will be on a first come, first served basis. The tickets will be coming from tickets@central.uh.edu and will be sent to the email address provided when the RSVP was submitted. Graduates be sure to check your spam/junk folder if you have not received the link to download your tickets. Once a barcode on a ticket has been scanned, that ticket will no longer be valid. Duplicated tickets will not be accepted. If you have not received your tickets by the end of the day on Friday, July 16, please contact the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at tickets@uh.edu or 713-GO-COOG.


All attendees are to park in the Stadium Garage located on Holman Street. The TDECU Stadium garage has complimentary accessible parking on the first level as well. Please display a valid handicap decal or hangtag. There will be no charge for parking.

General Information

Please be aware of the clear bag policy. This policy applies to you and to your guests. It is advised that graduates bring limited items as there will be no area/place to store your belongings. Please refer here to the policy. These measures also apply to your guests. Your guests can bring celebratory items such as posters and flowers. Air horns and signs with poles/sticks will not be permitted. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there will be quite a bit of walking.

All ceremonies will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend and will also be available after the scheduled time for future viewing.
